Welcome to The Virtual Red Arrows. I would like to thank you for taking the time to view this Press Release. After reading, please comment.

The Virtual Red Arrows opened in early 2007. Since then we have had around 30 pilots come and go. After successfully taking part in our first airshow in mid 2007; I - The founder of The Virtual Red arrows - had to stop due to family problems. At the time, we had two fully qualified instructors and seven other pilots. As some of you from this forum may not know, I did not return to the 'FS Scene' 'til early this year.
Many from this forum had trained with us and come through the ranks, and I hope many more will.
We are now associated with Flight Simulator Escort Fighters and we provide training there.

Our Aim is to give something back to the Flight Simulation community, in the form of either of entertainment or training.
We try our utmost to provide training that will help your virtual flying ability and give fans the pleasure of watching nice red aircraft pulling daring stunts and manoeuvres through the virtual skies.
We also aim to hold airshows for others to 'show-off' as well as us.

Posted Image
The Website can be found at HERE. It is still under construction as I had to pull the other down. The Virtual Red Arrows can continue without a website but we will try to get it back up ASAP. Please do not think that we are not functional due to this.

We are currently in the search for a game server and a Teamspeak Server.
At the moment, we use servers which have low ping rate (via FSHost Spy) and use Teamspeak Servers with a low amount of traffic, but high sound quality. If you do have any information of where there is a stable game server/teamspeak server that we can use, please let us know! (Please Also see Recruitment).

Posted Image
We are currently Affiliated with Flight Simulator Escort Fighters. We provide training for them.
We are 'supported/encouraged' by the real world Red Arrows. We have been granted permission to set this VA up.

The training program looks like this:

As you apply, you will be given a test in the default Piper Cub J3 to see what your initial level is. Speed and altitude accuracy will be what we will mainly be looking at.

After that, you will be taken through 5 sessions in the Cub before moving onto other aircraft.

SESSION #1 Taking off
SESSION #2 Straight and Level
SESSION #3 Turns
SESSION #4 Approach and Landing
SESSION #5 Precision session on control of speed.

You will be the put into one of the following categories and will move up Aircraft accordingly.

BASIC #1
BASIC #2
INTERMEDIATE
ADVANCED

Soon enough you will advance onto the T.mk1 Hawk. After the categorisation, we will try and get you to your peak in the aircraft we think will suit you.
Then you will go up in levels. Once you have reached Level #7, you will be asked to take an instructors course. A certificate will be received for every level you pass and a special reward for Level 7.

Posted Image
Once you have passed your training, and you are given the rank of a RED, you will be awarded a certificate.
You will be given a @virtualredarrows.co.uk POP3/Webmail Account.
Access to the Sites Member area.
'RED' Status on forums

Great PR, but I hope your acdemy is up to the task, not many pilots can fly formation, or for a de-militarised VA.

hehe, Northgate, thanks for your comment. I'm 100% sure my 'academy' is up-to the task. People aren't as bad as they first look. Some training and some kind words  go a long way. Making positive comments and turning bad into good can really make a virtual pilot willing into practice.

Thanks for your comments so far guys  :hrmm:

None of you read it obviously.

If you need a good server, my personal recommendation would be Transition Gaming Server. I have been with them for almost a year now. Very nice staff and a good clean and very secure Teamspeak.

I see you are limited on members, this is surprising. I'd love to join you as I adore flying military aircraft.

It's good you have two levels of training. Training can be fun at times. I remember when I was head of vNATO, I used to train the kids to do formation. We would just laugh the whole time but we did get really good at it and it became highly addictive.

Looks good.

Not interested in Joining, but about formation training i'd be happy to help, i used to head up the AGN Textures team, this 'Academy' would have to be good, if you get some new recruit whos only flown about 20hrs in his simming life then you'd have to start from scratch, starting with trailing formation till he can keep that there for prolonged distances and not dropping back or edging too close, the IRIS Hawk is a superb plane, she rolls right, pitches right and flies just right, my usual FS Plane as it happens, which Red arrows scheme you using? the latest or the older 'solid line' style? and if you need help let me know  :hrmm:

Modern mate,

Also, I'd really appreciate some help with training; it's much easier with two instructors.

Can you fly at the moment?

- Thanks!
