This is the new trend in highly advanced aircraft for FS, expect to see more following this price point.

I noticed they have a "compo" price for FSX and FS9... How can they have that option if the FS9 isn't ready yet? €89.99 ($122.00 by the way  :hrmm: ).

Never mind, I see it will be given later (the FS9 AC)... Not going to put out that type of money when not knowing when the FS9 will be out. The way things have been going it could be next year for the FS9.

I really want this AC, but it will take some deep thought on paying that money for it. NP paying it, just the point of an add on costing so much.

First thought that came to my mind was "ITS TEQUILA TIME!!" ....hahaha
82$ is way too much. That's two gas tanks. Pass...

You'll save two gas tanks worth of petrol cause you'll be indoors for 2 weeks flying this plane  :hrmm:

lol... I wish. They deserve the money I guess, but with the economy the way it is now, saving every penny counts. 85+ bucks goes to alot these days, and the FS9/FSX combo, :hrmm:, 120$. That's almost a car payment.

Hardware I can understand but now that's also the price of a video card. I think alot of developers are taking the liberty to charge more and more now... it sucks.

Addon prices aren't going to go down. What ever happened to saving your money? If you are only paying $120 as a car payment, that is low.... My insurance is higher than that on my vehicles.

I'm not paying 120, I'm paying about 340, but it's going to go down to about half of that soon. Either way, it's still a big chunk.
Yes insurance included.
I save about 80% of my income, but still spending that much on an addon, I can't justify it to myself. Soon you'll be able to buy an OS cheaper than an add-on. Pssht.

I just got it downloaded along with the FSCrew MD11.
Chris Palmer will be releasing an "Angle of Attack" DVD for the MD11 that I'll be also looking forward to.
I purchased all of the manuals for this plane so I'm ready.

This was quite an entertaining thread to skim through from start to finish  . I've been out of touch with simming for a little while...still peek in from time to time to see what's new though. I saw the release of PMDG's MD-11, checked it out on their site  :hrmm: (saw the price), and set out to check the pulse in the forums. I guess I wasn't that far out of touch! Plus, I only saw the FSX/FS9 combo price at first. Yikes!!!

:hrmm:, I'm not even able to run FSX yet. It's in the box somewhere, waiting for me to one day get a new computer! Still in my first year with a new house...that will be a while :P .

It's hard to believe I've become one of the "old timers" who will still be running FS from 2-3 releases ago!   Maybe this MD-11 will be freeware by the time I have a computer that can run it and FSX!
