Hey im overrunning z41 for an odd reason, im using the Air Total Twin Otter with skies, at about half way down the runway i pull up but the hind wheels don't seem to get off the ground. :hrmm:

Any way to fix this.?
on the short strips you usually want to use flaps. try setting a good amount of nose up trim as well, so you don't have to work so hard to try to get it pointing up. when you line up with the runway, set brakes and rev up the engine so you don't use valuable runway to get the engines up to speed, and last but not least, don't hold the stick back on takeoff roll; you want to keep it centered so the plane can accelerate faster, then when you reach about 65kts, bull back. you should be able to takeoff with no probs unless you're overweight.

And flying pie, ive been practicing my Cargo route, can i be the second to last pilot to leave the field, that way i miss most of the ground traffic?
I don't think traffic will be too much of a prob, we won't get 50 pilots participating. flights will be coming in and out all day long making a bunch of trips (hopefully you will make a few as well), so just logon whenenver and ask where to go.

Actually pie, I'm going to download the scenery pack and get back to you. I know the 208 is made for this kind of flying, but I still don't know if it can put down in this sort of space.
big key is to keep it low and slow. I like to be fully configured just above stall speed and skimming the trees when coming into the little airstrips, then set throttle to idle right as I get into the clearing. lotta trim will allow you to come in real slow and still have enough stick to flare.

I just measured; the longest flight on day one (willow PAUO to mcgrath PAMC) will only be 170nm. I'll try to get some of the faster planes doing longer flights while slower planes doing shorter flights (unless requested otherwise), but it shouldn't take more than an hour or so for some guys to cover 170nm.

For those of us using freeware planes, could you put up a download link to your plane so we can realistically see each other?
Thanks

I made a few checkpoint markers that'll just show you where the checkpoints are on the GPS, they don't include runways or anything. almost every single checkpoint is a frozen lake or river, but I put the GPS markers on beaches so it should be ok. next year I'll put together a decent scenery and organize it better.

Oh, nvm. I found it. Is there any way you can turn off the irritating voice that loudly tells me "TOO LOW - FLAPS" and "SINK RATE!!!!!" over and over?

Oh wait, this is on the FSW server? I thought it was on IVAO. :hrmm:

In that case, I'll try and make it. I'll need some time to go over the information and pick the aircraft. :hrmm:
