Hi Brandon,
I am already a member of screen shot world and I know the Professionals there use this method instead of silly curves. I haven't had much time to post there in a while but I'm getting back into Photo shop now with holidays coming up.

This is 4 minutes of work.
I know one of the admins at SSW, maybe I should have a chat with him tomorrow regarding the behavior of his members...

Okay so your insulting the people who I called Proffesionals there and then telling me your going to chat with one of their admins tomorrow regarding the behavior of its members? Honestly were you referring to yourself?
And also what was the cut-out you did supposed to prove? You didn't spend much time on it because I can see some of the background in the cut-out

Edit: I'd love to see a version of your way without any feather, pronto.

I never made any statement saying this could be done in 4 mins. In fact I said you have have to work slowly and steadily.
Also feathering is not necessary. I usually don't feather but if its a photo with lots of Jaggies in it then I will feather to get rid of those pesky jaggies. In the tutorial I said quote: "You also might want to feather the selection. Feathering the selection basically blurs the edges so to reduce the look of jaggies. I would recommend feathering by 0.5 pixels, but that's up to you." Therefore this implies feathering is not necessary.
I'm finding that most people haven't even read the tutorial properly and thats were all these arguments are coming from. Please don't argue something if you haven't done or read the tutorial throughly.
