Hey,

I've seen some awesome sigs where theres like a square of a color, and then a plane popping out of the square. Kinda hard to explain (and sorry if this violates some rule) so ill say it this way,

Posted Image

^that's "The Great North"s sig but apparently "dylan w." made it.

again sorry. If you want me to remove the image i will.

Im using GIMP btw. Is it possible to make something like that with GIMP? If so, how?

You need to cut the plane out mate!

Google Photoshop Pen tool

(:

EDIT: oh wait, you have GIMP. Erm, you'll have to make do with a polygon selection tool.

It is two images combined :hrmm:

Basically, cut the plane out of one picture, and 'paste' it upon another.

Or its one image, with the sky cropped out. I'm not sure how you would go about doing that in GIMP though, I've never used it.

Agreed.

While GIMP has more included features and effects, the interface is terrible and cumbersome to navigate.

I just download plugins for Paint.NET, which increases the functionality a lot. But I wish there was an OSX version of Paint.NET. :hrmm:

Use a flash drive to bus the file over to your non-internet computer.

Really? Who would thunk!

when you install it, you need some .net thing, so i downloaded it from microsoft and transfered that (via flash drive) to the computer. then you needed internet to install that.

You won't win at this game :hrmm:

No, you won't win at this game.

.NET Framework 3.5 (Offline installer): http://www.microsoft...;displaylang=en

And honestly- it's 2009, you're trying to tell me you own a computer that you use, but is disconnected to the internet? Come on! Alternatively, you can install Paint.NET on your online computer and save everyone the trouble.

Luckily Paint.NET involves neither pornography or videos.

Ignore the ".NET" at the end of the name if it confuses you.

Think of it as any other software download.

It's not exactly internet based...
