:hrmm:. At least I'm not like the real Jeremy Clarkson, all I would be saying to the GE90 engine would be "PPPPPOOOOOWWWWWEEEEERRRR!!!!!".

In regards to the type of bird that is projected into the engine during the testing, they throw defrosted chickens at a high speed into the blades. Those who have watched the ITVV A320 video with the very entertaining Cpt Alan Dix, he explains this process in a very funny, yet interesting and educating way.

strange        geese are 2 times bigger than defrosted chicken.  why not throw in defrosted turkeys to test which are at about same size as geese?????

Because they will all have similar weights, in theory. And chicken is cheaper.
