I personally think all of you are over-reacting. Its just paint. This merge was about being United, and getting the best of both worlds. In reality, United won. They got to keep their name. Yeah, Continental got the livery and logo, but i think that this is only a temporary paint. Why paint 700 aircrafts in a new paint this quickly, rather then just 300 or so? In like 3-5 years, they will probably come out with something new. Its just cost-effective now.
What matters is the service, and how great the airline is going to become. I mean, everyone, your preaching to the choir. I never wanted Continental and United to merge. I thought it was stupid, and had more losses then wins. But over the past year, with Continental joining star; United and Continental are extremely similar. It only makes sense to combine.
If this gets approve, just wait, all of you will be surprised. But don't be all over-reacting about some paint on a plane. Airlines paint planes all the time, example Delta. lol. The New United will get its turn down the road.
