Is there something similar to this for FS9? Other than Swiss Pro that is.

I've tried X-Plane in the past and find FS9 much more user friendly so I'd rather not switch sim.

I haven't installed any scenery or mesh before now, am I missing out?
X-Plane 8 was a complete overhaul of V7, you should try V8.

Looks nice but..

- Is the scenery global mesh ie exact terrain elevation for the whole world.

- What will happen to the FPS?

I have Global mesh for FS9 and love it to death - would be hard to change.
- No, the mesh is a lot more detailed tham MSFS,

- On my mac (FX5200 ultra). i get 30 fps on maxed settings, on my PC i get 45 with my FX 5900 ultra.

he asked if its for the whole world, which i doubt unless youre looking for reduced fps and not to mention one heck of a file to download which no one is looking forward for.

:D

So, is there a PMDG-level plane for X-plane?

Even better..XPFW has made a 733 that is being used by REAL airlines. Their upcoming 737-700 and 744 will also be used by real airlines.

It's like flying a real airplane, there's a lot more to it. Also, if you think flying FS9 with the keyboard is hard X-Plane is a lot harder. I recomend a yoke for X-Plane, thats what i use.

That is like...waow. I'll bet it's an FPS killer tho, look how smooth those hills are. And smooth = high polys.

two questions:

1. is this mesh for all the world or only america or europe?

2. is there an easy option for me to fly easily?

This is impressive!  I'm just taken aback at how smooth and detailed that scenery is!  Those shots look like they could have
been taken out of the "Lord Of The Rings" especially the one below! :o :P This is certainly a leap ahead for X-Plane.  :D

I wonder if MS will respond to the competition and improve their scenery as well in their next release, FS10.  :D

i only wish xplane 8 is user friendly. as much as i love aviation, my aspect of flying makes it lovable and seeing the scenery, but as long as its hard to fly in xplane 8 then i doubt id ever have fun with it. ms flight sim atleast makes an easy option for those who want an amateur feeling of some sort, more fun and enjoyable in my opinion :D

It's for the ENTIRE world, hence the GLOBAL scenery. And X-plane is a sim, so there is no 'easy' option.

yea thats what i hate unfortunately. i don't like too much realism, takes away the fun part about flying and having pleasure. but i won't quit easily, fs back then was hard for me so ill probably give x plane a go at it and see how i can manage with it. im more loyal to fs but i don't mind having two flight sims :o

so can someone pleaseeeeee post me a shot of kuwait? :D
