I took 3 avid courses, the most expensive course I did was media composer. Certified courses cost from £1200, thats about 1700 Euros. Avid is pretty much the broadcast standard for liner and non-liner editing. You don't need and qualifications, but a good understanding of a simular editing program is pretty important, otherwise most of the stuff that you are taught will fly right over your head.

The soundtrack is from a Royalty Free CD from work lol. I forget the name! Its most probably been on TV in some shape or form.
