Indeed, turning whatever is not necessary is a must. After I kill everything that should be off the computer is using about 88 megs. After playing the game, the memory usage peaks at 509 megs Good thing i have 512 megs of RAM.

This is a WARNING if your planning to get a GF5600 or similar.
I had a GF2 card and decided to upgrade to a GF5600
BUT!!!!!
The panels will not display in FS2004, the required drivers have not been released by nvidia yet.
However this is under Windows 98, after much pulling of hair I installed FS2004
under Windows 2000, got the very latest Windows 2000/XP driver (45.20) from www.guru3d.com and it works!!! I can run pretty much everything in full detail, and no matter what I do the frame rate is remains perfect.
So if you run Windows 2000/XP goto guru3d.com and get the driver and enjoy.
If you run Windows 98 you will have to wait for the new drivers!!!!!!
