Hmmm...what should I do today

1 - Register at a Flight Sim Site
2 - Wait 5 minutes then bring up a 5 year old thread.
....

Well, I guess that's all the excitement for my day

They're both the same end! :hrmm:

Nope, pretty sure the glide slope equipment is at the approach end while the localizer is at the far end.
PS: yay for 5 year old threads!!

How is it out to sea?

Localizer is at the approach end of the runway and the glideslope is at the departure end...
Wrong way round. LOC is 1000ft from the end of the arrival end. Glideslope is found 500ft in from the arrival end

There doesnt need to be an ILS really for the approach as people have said, the weather is usually VMC.

Also the RNAV and VOR approaches work just fine anyway. They bring you in to below most of the clouds so you can go visual.

Well thats a bit uncalled for don't you think ? I have seen videos on youtube of people doing landings there with a 747 with autopilot on.

Not to the ground you haven't, and "big planes" don't need ILS to land.

ILS has nothing to do with the size of aircraft that use it

Considering I actually toned it down from what you originally said, no.  Saying my post was uncalled for is a bit ironic, don't ya' think?

Figures. Another $200 to spend to have it fixed. Great. Just :hrmm: great.
