GREAT pics! Which airport is that in pic number 6?
That's St Barthelemy (TFFJ).    Unfortunately, I just found out that it's depicted slightly inaccurately in both FS9 and FSX.  The runway in real life ends up at the coastline. Looking  at it on Google Earth gives you the real pics.
Yea, It didn't look like St. Barts at all so I was wondering. Hmm, too bad they haven't put that in correctly, its a great airport to fly into.
There was a mesh and airport on avsim...might want to look into it.  Great shots Jim

There's one thing I can't do with FSX and that's dual monitor. Since I always use FS9 in dual monitor mode, I was interested in knowing how FSX would handle it.  Well sadly, FSX won't even start if I'm running a dual monitor desktop.  I found out that I have to disable one of my monitors in order to run FSX. Anyone else experiencing this same problem?
I'm in the same boat Jim - surely the full version will fix this though.

Absolutely georgeous shots btw!!  :D

My second monitor goes black whenever I start up FSX.

Wow, nice shots! Did you do anything special to make it not so blurry?
I also have the same question.....  Have you modified anything to make your textures more crisp??  I know with FS9 I have done many things to the fs9.cfg to help out the graphics.  I must say these are some of the best demo shots I have seen so far!

With all the advancements in hardware these days, my system is nothing exceptional, and I would consider this probably mid-range.

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego overclocked to 2750 MHz
2GB RAM - Corsair XMS DDR400 1GB x 2
NVidia 7800GT overclocked to Core 500 MHz, Memory 1200
Maxtor 200GB Hard drive x 2
Dual Monitor - Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 19in x 2 (CRT, sorry no LCD)

How do you make the ground textures like that?

I have mine on maximum, and they don't look half as good as yours.

So what is your opinion, does FSX surpass FS9 clearly or not?
Only if you have computer to run it, lol. It absolutly murdered my computer, and for me to play without it being like watching a slideshow I have to turn the settings way down.

Yes, I do eventually plan to switch over to LCD, but right now it's not high on my list of priorities, since the two monitors I have are serving me commendably. And I'm saving up for a DX10 card which is much higher on my list of planned upgrades.  :D
