All these protestors are stupid idiots

Air travel in my opinion is vital and besides, most major airports, airline's & aircraft manufacturers are spending the time & money on making air travel enviromentally friendly.

You know what would be interesting? If they did an undercover report on these protestors to find out if any of them go on holidays regularly or if they had just been on holiday recently.

Most of them will have flown.

Its like the "save the planet" people you see on TV. One minute you see them giving a talk in London. The next day they are in Tokyo. And a week later in Sydney.

I guess they got around on little wooden rafts with palm-leaf sails?

A good one was on TV last year. I was watching BBC News24 and they were reporting on a huge gathering of people concerned with reducing greehouse gases. There were there in this huge field and tents were set up where talks were being given on solar-panel power, people being encouraged to walk or use bicycles more etc. And then the reporter said "But let me show you something, Im going to ask my cameraman to pan to the right and zoom in a bit"

There in the distance were hundreds of Land Rovers, Toyota Land Cruisers & Mitsubishi Pajeros ...yup thats what most of the attendees had arrived in.

ROTFL!

and btw, they get around the world by using time machines and portals :hrmm:

Don't forget the UN Climate Conference, that was held in Bali. The airport didn't have enough parking space for the business jets that everyone arrived in.

That other link to youtube says that the video has been removed by the user. Here's another link to it for those that haven't seen it. Not much to it...very short but it's the only video of it's approach as far as I know.

Wonder how long it will be before they make a film based on it?
With George Clooney as the Captain?

There isnt a "full thing".. why do you think they only showed such a small clip?

They decided that showing the crash wasn't necessary.

Ok, where are the Conspiracy theorists?

The plane didn't really crash, this is a 777 mock up jet, they are all actors and really, there was a bomb on the plane but the government don't want us to see how vunerable we really are.

(before any of you get irrate, i was joking.)

Actually, there was no plane whatsoever, it was a projected image using that awesome government-only technology, there were no witnesses and all the videos are of the projected image, hence why they didn't let the media go near the crashed jet.

There moving it off 27L now to one of the hangers. From what i've read there using the same technique to move it as they did on the new control tower.

Those of youbashing on people arriving to environmentalist conferences or whatnot on cars/planes really need to actually THINK.

What are they gonna do, jog across Europe/US/Atlantic to get there?  NO!  They HAVE to use those vehicles, there is NO way around it.  What they can do with those conferences is (1) raise awareness so that people don't jump in a car go to 500 meters to their local convinience store (2) to promote support for environmentally friendly fuels, and all that other stuff.

Those of you saying they are hypocrites for using cars and whatnot need to understand the scales of things.
