ok :

>download FSET here : http://www.megauploa.../fr/?d=DXFOLSXO

>unzip to a new folder (at C:\FSEarthTilesPreV0_8)
>create a new folder called FSEarthTiles (at C:\FSEarthTile)
>open it and create a subdirectory called as you want (ex Paris)

>open the INI file and change "WorkingFolder" and "SceneryFolder" by the following lines :
WorkingFolder = C:\FSEarthTilesPreV0_8\work
SceneryFolder = C:\FSEarthTiles\YOUR NEW SCENERY NAME

>launch FsEarthTiles.exe

Posted Image

>click on "go multi", adjust zoom (8 is a good choice), and select your area : (left click on blue round to elongate)

check the left panel out, it must be like this :

Download resolution = 1 (1m/pixel)
Earth service=service 2
Scen compiler=FSX
Area snap=no
Create mask=no
Comp scenery=yes

Your final estimated scenery size is indicated here :

To finish, press START, here we go !!

1 GB = 1 hour

Good luck.

Then, launch fsx, set the resolution to 1m, add the new downloaded scenery and fly...

Hmm, I tried using Tile Proxy, but I can't seem to figure it out, I might try FSEarthTiles because that looks easier to use.

Wow, this is pretty nice, I did this with FSEarthTiles, TileProxy was much harder to use in my opinion.

+50° 35' 60.00", +5° 40' 0.00"? East of Brussel?
Which service are you using? Be sure to set "Zoom" to the "Download Resolution" to preview the area.

I erased it. I was using Service 2. It was near liege, in Magnee (don't know if you know where that is). They don't have a high enough resolution. Anyways, I deleted that and then did scenery around my hometown. 50cm resolution, 10 gigs, beautiful. Unfortunately, I just did a complete format or my HDD.
