2. A new multiplayer that doesn't suck like Gamespy did. Honestly, all I want is a simple system, like FsHost. No logging in, no friend lists, just a list of servers to choose from, a chatbox, and maybe built in voice communication and the ability to play as ATC. If they could release an update to give FSX the same ability, I would be in heaven (increase multiplayer traffic).

lol so true  :hrmm:

I just want it to run fast on the latest greatest PC's. FS10 never ran fast , not even if it was installed in a Cray Super Computer.

Best easter egg ever. :hrmm:

There should be a mission to escort Santa's sleigh while flying in an F-22.  :hrmm:

Why would Santa's sleigh possibly need to be accompanied by the Air Force? What are you planning this year, Grinch? :hrmm:

I'm just going to say this knowing that I'm going to piss some people off. So if I piss you off by saying this then I don't care if I did.  I think some of you are a bunch of pathetic and tactless individuals who are full of it. My comment mainly goes out for people whining like a baby that "IVAO should be included in Flight but made super-hard so n00bs don't use it and ruin it." or comments very much like that one. I think you've all forgotten how "n00bish" you used to be. How did you learn to use IVAO? You asked questions and you read material, did you not? And I'm quite sure people got "pissed off" at you for asking "n00b" questions and asked you to search.

This kind of behavior is both disgusting and appalling.

Just from the first two pages alone...

Here is a list of things I would like in Flight! In no particular order.

- Built-in IVAO/VATSIM client (but make it too user unfriendly so it doesn't get overflowed by novices who don't know anything about realistic ATC)

Everything I agree except VATSIM client. NEVER EVER Integrate that into Flight. no matter how hard it will be to use, you'll have amateurs googling how to use it

Toss in some kind of aviation test whenever they try an access VATSIM so n00bs will fail. If the n00bs fail, redirect them to the "normal" Microsoft multiplayer and explain the novices should use it.

I'm sick and tired of SB4 and FSINN.

The clouds should also be 3D from all angles, not just the flat sort of clouds you get in FS9. Basically if your on a overcast day, make it stay overcast and not just until you reach for eg 300ft and then its just foggy

Not really. You'll get people who have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they are doing, connect to VATSIM, and ruin it for the people who know what they are doing. You'll get people not listening to ATC, disrupting traffic, and a lot of other things that would ring VATSIM to its knees. The creators of SB will most likely create a new version once Flight is released.

Just my 2 cents.

This kind of behavior is both disgusting and appalling.

As I believe others have stated earlier in the thread...

There is a large difference between people who start out as n00bs on VATSIM/IVAO with the intention of learning, and people who don't give a flying crap about realism, would have no intention of learning how to fly properly, and perhaps act immature, like crashing into people and giggling about it until they're removed from multiplayer (if you've ever played an online racing game, you know what I mean), or just chit-chatting on the radio channels.

I am/was a member of the former. Before I did my first flight on VATSIM earlier this year, I read lots of material from VATSIM's website, asked questions on FSW, MSN, and on FlyCay's Teamspeak, and Mr. Schutte (the controller in the area I was flying) was very helpful during my first flight. I didn't just barge in with no idea what I was doing and start flying around.

Since Microsoft is obviously pushing flight to be more mainstream, can you imagine what any kid who picked up the game from Bestbuy could do if connecting to VATSIM/IVAO were as simple as clicking on the "multiplayer" icon in Flight, entering a username and password, and then hitting "connect?" There needs to be some kind of required tutorials or a test before allowing them to use VATSIM/IVAO.

Also, how was Iranair's post related? :hrmm:
