I'm going to assume that is fair weather, probably mid day.
Its possible, but I really don't think that would create his low FPS issue.... Way to stick with this guy on the troubleshooting Leworthy!

The view across two airports and all the autogen gives a very heavy CPU load. However you should still be getting much beter performance, than you are getting.

I tried the same behind plane view also, that makes no differnce in frame rate for me.
EDIT : that's 14.9 fps incase you can't read it.

I didn't fare any better with everything maxed out..... turned down the auto gen and rarely got under 20fps. Tested using the DHC3 Super Otter with floats.

Only 10 fps.
The frame rate was changing quite alot, between 10 and 14 fps.
It looks like there is little difference between out PC's and that you have the performace that should be expected.

Thanks for that information Coffee, at last we seem to agree on frame rates. I'm going to stop trying to find out what is wrong with my pc.
EDIT : Ok the above shot was done with the memory at 266MHz. Changeing back to 400MHz seems to give frame rates between 13 and 16 fps with less change in frame rates.
I'm not sure if the results can be compared since is difficult to get exactly the same situation as before.

2. Turn Autogen way down, maybe to like 1/4
3. YOU ONLY NEED 1 version of windows. There is absolutely no need for another install of windows on another harddrive.. Just confuses the system. Uninstall the oldest version of windows and just use it as a file harddrive, and leave the harddrive with Windows and FS2004 alone. Then you can run a dual hard drive configuration.
4. Disable Windows Visual Styles. Since you only have a limited amount of memory, you don't need windows visual style's taking up all that memory.
5. Your FPS are pretty good over Seattle, there is not much more you can do.. Try a few things..
(When in external view, turn the view to look directly at a clear patch in the sky, when clouds and airports are out of the focus of the view, it clears and increases the FPS.
Only use spot view when taking screenshots.)
Those are my tips.
