Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Photobucket has released a new format that makes it more time consuming and more difficult to post cool screenshots on aviation forums.  Would all of you please be kind enough to copy the message below, sign yourself, and send to support@photobucket.com?

Thanks,

Aharon

Here is message that you should copy and send:

Shalom and greetings sirs or madams,

Now in new Photobucket format, I cannot find to activate album option that SHOWS LINKS IN MY ALBUMS AS ALWAYS instead of only on mouseover!!!

I noticed the new method of Photobucket that make all linking codes and name of each pic invisible unless you hover your mouse point over the picture to make name of file and link codes appear and visible.

Before, all names of pics and link codes were always visible making it easy for me to pick, click on code, and paste on any aviation forum's post fast.

Now I have to do more time consuming work hovering my mouse over picture to make link codes and picture name visible for me to click on link code for pasting on any aviation post.

Anyone know how to make all link codes on all pics visible permanently please??

Can you please assist?

Thanks,

Your name

Problem solved: Don't use Photobucket.

Try http://imgur.com, much better, also free. You can even upload by URL. It has a built-in image crop/resize/quality editor. Why would anyone use Photobucket? They cap bandwidth, they want you to share every image on Facebook and Myspace, and they treat their users like crap.

Aharon, if you don't like it, don't use it. No need to stage a sit-in and try to get everyone else to team up. It's not that big of a deal.

Aloha,
Ryan

I tried that at your suggestion.  Not impressed with imgur.  This website takes me more time than Photobucket. I have to click on each screenshot and copy link and paste.

Yeah, because our forum names are really what we actually are.  Did you know that I am two North American cities, Los Angeles and Boston?

The part where it isn't Photobucket, I'm assuming. :hrmm:

No thanks. This is a waste of time. Just because you find it different doesn't mean that we should send an uneducated letter to Photobucket.

pwn247,

Thanks for nice example.  I need to have links and file info be visible on each screenshot so that I can look faster and click faster.

Let's hope it is matter of few weeks before Photobucket realizes its mistake and revert back to old way.

Just because a kid that is obsessed with GE90 engines is complaining to them about what they changed won't do anything. You would need a lot more people.

Got reply from Photobucket management who informed me they are considering to correct the problem that I am experiencing and will incorporate fix soon to make links and file names of all screenshots visible as always.

Regards,

Aharon

Aharon, I've joined your petition even though I don't ever use photobucket. I understand how much this means to you, and so I have sent them a copy of your message and signed it with my name. Best of luck with your endeavours. :hrmm:

Is it really that hard to move the mouse to the same place it would've been anyways?
