As for your CPU, you could upgrade to a P4, 478 pin with a 533Mhz Front Side Bus. The i845, depending on if it is an early board or not, may even support PC2700 or PC3200 but may require a bios flash. Contact your PC manufacturer to be sure.

The 9600 pro or 9600 XT is a good choice.
Don't get the 9200. It is not made for direct X 9

someone sed get a fx5700xt -- well the fx5600xt's are 100quid+VAT cpu £100 inc vat... £200 jus to play a game!?
... this really aint lookin good.. lol

Nope, in the upcoming months, all the games will require higher specs!
The 5700XT is about the equivalent of a standard 9600 or 9600 SE.
The CPU, can be picked up from online shops and possibly pcworld but it would be at an inflated price.
