This was exceptionally tough because my heart :D was telling me to vote for the VA shots, which were awesome, but in the end I thought #12 deserved my vote this month. Good work guys, and best of luck to all of you! :D

New rule went into effect last contest - no discussion of edits is allowed after the contest starts.

Thanks,
Jon

[Removed - discussion of edits has caused too much trouble in the past.  Byron has already evaluated the shots and allowed them into the contest]

Number 14 for me. Great shot.

Byron knows his stuff, mate. If it were edited, he'd have left it out.

I'll say my top 5 are #s 1, 7, 11, 12, and 14.
Had to go with 14 though. Definitely not a single bad shot in this competition.

Neil.
However, I think the person who's discreetly edited his shot thinks he is above the rules with editing also. Sorry to whoevers shot it is, but it definately looks too good to be an FS effect. If someone could find me an effect like that, I'd eat my hat with salt and pepper on it.

[Edit by Jon:  If the contestant *did* submit an edited shot on the sly they took a big risk that Byron would disqualify the shot.  Because of all the video card settings and FS2004 addons that affect things like this it is quite possible that this is a valid unedited shot.  Neil's shot several months back was one such debated shot that turned out to be perfectly unedited.  Instead of continuing with what seemed like a monthly debate we decided to make Byron the final judge, hence the new rule.  If he puts a shot in the contest, it is legit as far as the contest is concerned. :D]

What is it with people lately, it clearly states no discussing of shots you think are edited...

PM Byron about, not blabbing it out in public, I feel sorry for the shot taker as it's happened to me before :D

Hm, as longer I look at these shots, the more im glad I didn't join this month contest.

Maybe I will make myself unpopular (if I'm not already are). But its not only the one shot you are talking about, that is definitely edited. I see three more edited shots and others, that absolutely didn't match the theme, nice colours though.

Don't get me wrong please. I like them all, beautiful shots, but some in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Isn't there also an "edited screenshot contest" on fs2004.com? So what should that gonna be here? Another "edited screenshot contest"?

Think about the colour of honesty. A contest must be fair, otherwise its no contest anymore and should be canceld.

Sorry for the words of criticism,
Mad

[You see 4 edited shots, others see 1 or 2, a perfect example of why we had to make the new "no discussing edits" rule. :D  There's really no way to prove that a computer-generated image is not edited by another computer program.  We had to draw the line somewhere.  Byron is one of the most respected screenshot "artists" here - if there is a way to make a shot "look" edited using FS2004 addons Byron probably knows how to do it.]

Oh, this is just great. Because of a few users the rest of us will probably lose the right to post messages about the entries, and that would be unfortunate. Listen to the vets like Neil and Austin. Read the rules. Whether you think the shots were edited or not, they are in the contest so quit trying to spoil it for the rest of us here.
