I agree, those two different values TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS and TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS are a little bit confusing. I compiled this Tips from different sources. For sure it's up to your computer power, how high you can set it. The maximum value for both is 9.900000.

For a high end PC you can try:

TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.900000
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.900000
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=8

to get a more clear picture in the distance (if it is loading fast enough). Just play with this settings and look how it works best.

I'm using:

TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.500000
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.500000
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=8

for all sceneries (standard and photo realistic).

Your sig is pretty funny. Looks like you have been told one too many times to turn up AA.  :D

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you cant modify the AA on the onboard gaphics card. The only option you have is through FS9.

:lol:  Howdy, this is my first post, so if it's in the wrong place please bear with me and kindly direct me to the appropriate spot. Question is- how might I raise the 100,000ft ceiling in FS2004. It actually doesn't really quite look like 100,000ft when yer up there, either- but I would like to get thru it nonethe less. Also- how might I add More AI traffic?
    Thanks
