Did I just hear that Heathrow is shutdown other then planes that area already in the air?

EDIT: Air France and KLM have cancelled all flights into Heathrow.
thats correct, all aircraft are being told to stay where they are.

Air france, KLM, lufthansa, olympic and flights from brussels have also been ordered not to fly to the UK.

Put up in many airports around the USA...This was taken at Dulles INTL. (KIAD)

I am curious, what could liquids do? I could imagine Vodka - Alcohol - Flammable...but like what else would liquid be used for??

People hide liquid explosives in seemingly harmless liquid containers.

Its a safetly precaution. Understand they don't want ANYTHING to bypass their security systems. Just cooperate and there shouldn't be any problems.

i don't understand why everyone is getting so frustrated about security measures that have been implemented today.  the security threat posed to the UK today was incredibly serious and should not be taken lightly, hence the reason such measures have been introduced.

which would you rather have, boredom and your life or normal allowences (proved today that cannot be relied upon) and the risk of yourself and three hundred other people getting blown up?

Exactly and Thank You. People need to understand they are looking out for OUR safety, and to ensure our safety is maintained throughout the flight. From Gate to Gate.

These terrorist's make me sick! They go around killing themselfs and bombing people acting like it's a playground game at school! they do relise what they are doing to the world, its these kind of people that change the way we live today in a bad way, these people should be looked up for life as innocent people could of been killed today and very upset familys when killing these people is just being a coward, what the heck have these people done to you, NOTHING! i cant believe this has happened, why can't we live life, instead of these terrorists acting like one country is better than the other, but they have to relise at the end of the day we are all human liveing live!

I cant believe this, terrorists kill try to kill us like we are pokemon! This disgusts me. Now, we have to take off all shoes, all security people are opening ALL cary on bags, and no liquids are allowed onto flights. Terrorists need to go to ######, and stay in ######.

Its because of their religion and some other bogus stuff like that. Its really a drag, and a shame such human beings can make such rash decisions.
