Btw, I didn't see one person who would try to get the pilots concious again.

This is exactly the situationt that happened last summer, the pilots became uncon. in the 737 and 2 people with some experience took the controls. They failed leaving all the passengers abord dead, but still there was a chance for survival even if it didn't occur. At least the passengers had some hopes rather then them knowing that THEY ARE ALL GOING TO DIE NO MATTER WHAT!
Nobody wants to wake up in the morning knowing that they are going to die today and there is adsolutley no hope of survival.

I really have a firm belief that if that happened and I had the right info I could lock the localizer and bring it on in...as for stopping that bird and landing..good luck

like I said before, I'd probably just bring it in for an autoland...if not...heck..I have some time in a 717 sim, so I think I'd be able to land it, don't count it being a greaser though

I agree. I think they could land it but would nose-wheel the ###### out of the landing break something off, but I think it could be done.

I guess JFK to London or Paris would be under 8 hrs and only require 2 pilots
